Banks in Malaysia & Opening Account

Hi dear friends
I hope all my friend here being well and not bored by my posts.
I am going to talk about Malaysia's banks and their systems even how to open an account here.

Opening an account at first days is one of the most important task should be mention here for all students .

Here does exist 12-15 banks ,the most important bank will mention below:

1. May Bank

2. CIMB Bank

3. Am Bank

These are three best choices to put your money there.
Here a good bank means that which one has different benefits for example, you would be able to shop by your credit card ,using cash points, and also using internet services.

Most of students have opened an account in one of these three banks.
I satisfied with AM Bank & MAY Bank.

Opening account processing:
You will never allowed to open an account by tourism visa ,use references university's letter or use your student visa.

Its better to use references letter since receiving students visa take 2 month .

You can receive the references letter just a day after your registration and paying your tuition.

Having your letter and passport photocopy in hand at the bank , then you should pay 50 ringgit that equivalent with 17 dollars up to 100 ringgit (34 dollars) in some other banks.

they will open an ATM account in a half of day then you would get your credit cart which will be active in a half hour.
You can also withdraw your first 50 ringgit and others are also able to settle the money into your account.
I would explain how others from any country are able to settle money for you.

Opening account here is free.

These accounts benefits:

1.safety and security.

2.using debit cards in cash point and stores.

3.using internet bank shopping services .

4.buying cellphone charges.

5.checking your account by internet and so on.

I think I mentioned what you may need.
Good luck
SADRA
